Closure for Eclipse - 8 April 2024

I am writing today to announce a change to our regular operations in advance of the solar eclipse on 8 April 2024.  Although our school system initially planned to remain open for the eclipse event, guidance on the timing of the event and state-level predictions for travel and other service disruption have caused our leadership team to re-evaluate.  As such, the Invictus High School System will now be closed for a calamity day due to the eclipse event on April 8.

As new guidance on what to expect during this exciting event comes from the state of Ohio, it has become apparent that the Governor and key government offices are preparing for an anticipated influx of tourists that pose the potential to disrupt travel, certain services, and personnel at both local and state levels.  In response to this guidance, our school’s executive leadership team has weighed the options and elected to close for a calamity day on 8 April for our students, faculty, and families to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity safely.

The school system will resume normal operations on Tuesday, 9 April 2024.  Please direct any questions to your campus director or enrollment specialist.
